The City of Perris was founded around 1885 when the California Southern Railroad established a depot at the site and connected it to the rail line between Barstow and San Diego. The city took its name from Fred T. Perris, the railroad's chief engineer, as a tribute to his role in bringing the rail connection to the area. That railroad connection shaped everything that followed: the arrival of people, commerce, and the infrastructure that would grow into a community.

Perris was originally part of San Diego County but was transferred to the newly created Riverside County in 1892. The city was officially incorporated in 1911, nearly three decades after the railroad's arrival had set the direction of growth. The historic Perris Depot, the building that started it all, is recognized in the Library of Congress's Historic American Buildings Survey, acknowledging its architectural and historical significance to the region.

A community built on rail and connection thinks naturally about continuity and obligation—the reasons people are here, the reasons to stay, the things that need to keep moving forward. A term life policy that covers the years your family depends on you is that same kind of commitment: building something that lasts.
